Come join the team, and more importantly, our family! Job Summary/Objective Our Service Advisors are experienced at selling and scheduling needed service work in the service department.
Must promote and attain dealership standards for superior workmanship.
Essential Functions Greet customers promptly in a polite and friendly manner.
Conduct telephone transactions, schedule service appointments; obtain customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
Collect/enter/update customer contact information in the documentation line for all service requests.
Write up/document customers' vehicle problems accurately and clearly on the repair order to ensure effective communication.
Test drive the vehicle with customer as needed to confirm the issue for further technician diagnostic screenings.
Refer to service history, inspect vehicle, and recommend additional service needs.
Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts and establish a promised time.
Follow-up with service technicians, parts personnel and the customer to provide prompt status updates.
Obtain customer signature on repair order and provide customer with a copy for record-keeping.
Establish customers' method of payment and obtain credit approval, when necessary.
Notify dispatcher of incoming work.
Check on progress of repair throughout the day; contact customers regarding any changes in the estimated or promised time, explain cost and time requirements in detail, and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted.
Explain completed work and all charges to customer Close repair order as appropriate.
Implement and abide by the quality control process to eliminate returns/comebacks.
Handle telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in progress.
Keep service department forms, menus, and pricing guides up-to-date to ensure the most accurate information is on file.
Prior to the start of a repair job, determine the correct part numbers on repair orders and help the parts department pull and post the appropriate equipment to provide excellent service to our customers.
Deal with customer complaints and colleagues in a sensible manner by showing empathy and a pleasant attitude to demonstrate our commitment to excellent customer service and to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Sell supplementary services by notifying the customer of service specials or any additional work that is needed on their vehicle Notify customers promptly regarding any delays, changes, or additional work that is required.
Document all work performed in writing or into computerized system.
Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer and in accordance with company policies.
Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to working with hazardous materials; Reports any deviations to management immediately.
Communicate with Supervisor if additional work is needed.
Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials; reports any deviations to management immediately.
Learn and understands the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technology changes.
Follow all attendance and punctuality standards with adherence to timekeeping standards.
Follow the Company code of business ethics and conduct.
Understand and follow all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors.
Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
Maintain a professional appearance and neat and orderly work area in accordance with company policy.
Attend pertinent training on request.
Attend company meetings as required.
Perform all other duties, as assigned by management.

Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent or combination of education and experience.
